Charles Frankel
Charles Frankel, a/k/a Chuck, is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He began his career as an Accountant and Auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co., while earning an MBA from Fordham University and his CPA.
He left public accounting, spending 25 years in corporate accounting/finance positions most notably as Vice President-Finance and Administration of Seagram’s premium and super premium wine division. During his 10 years their sales exploded from $8 million to $180 million. Following Seagrams he joined a market research & consulting firm as the CFO & COO during the infancy of the information industry and early growth years of the “web” and other audio/video endeavors.
In 1992, he became an entrepreneur in several ventures including getting a real estate sales license. The 90’s were a rough economic period, and in 1996 Chuck became the Director of Finance for the Town of Ramapo under Supervisor Herb Reisman, until Mr. Reisman’s death in 2000. It was at this time Chuck returned to real estate full time, concentrating on commercial real estate, and in June 2005, he became the first commercial agent with Keller Williams Realty in Central Valley, NY as the Director- Land & Commercial Division. During his short time he has already added nine commercial agents, has commenced organizing the commercial efforts of the 12 Keller Williams offices in the NY, NJ, and CT area into a regional “network” and was recently asked to join a Keller Williams national “focus” group as the New York representative, to nationally network the 4th largest, fastest growing and most innovative real estate company in North America into a major commercial real estate organization.
Chuck is a Certified Real Estate instructor in New York State and teaches the pre-licensing and broker courses, several commercial real estate and tax continuing education classes, including “1031 exchanges”, investments, and land use.
He is an active participant in the Hudson Valley Chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors currently representing Rockland County as a Director. He also is a member of the Rockland County Board of Realtors where he just finished serving as the chairman of the legislative affairs committee plus membership in the Orange County Association of Realtors, NYS Association of Realtors, and the commercial alliance of the National Association of Realtors,
Chuck has always been actively involved in his community, having served on numerous boards and committees of charitable and educational organizations, including a term as President of the Fordham University Graduate Business Alumni Association. He is an original member since 1985 of the Village of New Hempstead Planning Board and its chairman since 1992.He is the current 2nd Vice President of the Rockland County Municipal Planning Federation which is devoted to training and certification of municipal planning and zoning board members as well as Town/Village board members. He has attended specialized land use courses at Pace Law School’s Land Planning Institute.
For fun, Chuck enjoys his passion for sports, and actively officiates/umpires at the high school, collegiate, and adult level in baseball, softball, football, volleyball, and swimming & diving. Married to Paulette for 32 years they have 2 children- Randi, 29, who is a teacher and Eric, 24, a recent graduate from the University of Miami’s Architectural school.
