Woodbury is nestled in the foothills of Harriman State Park,in the southern tip of Orange County, the Town of Woodbury is easily accessible to New York City, Westchester, & New Jersey by bus, Metro North Train, or the NYS Thruway & Rte 17. Many first time visitors come visit the shopping mecca of Woodbury Commons, a premium outlet mall, just off the Thruway Harriman exit.
The Town of Woodbury maintains it’s own recreational facilities with ponds, community pools, tennis & basketball courts and picnic areas. In addition it is bordered on the south and east by Harriman State Park with easy access to Bear Mountain recreational center for hiking, iceskating and other seasonal events.
The major population centers are the villages/hamlets of Central Valley, Harriman, & Highland Mills.
